There has been a lot of talk this year about our new venue in Hungary, in our exploratory trips so far this year we have already caught fish to nearly 60lbs, with loads of back-up big forties too. Although the biggest fish so far is a Mirror, we have caught Commons now to upper forties and certainly seen and lost much bigger. They are stunning looking fish, and every run is exciting as we really don’t know what can be expected! The lake is certain to produce a 30kg fish very soon, we have really only scratched the surface so far on this stunning venue. Here’s what we know so far – The lake is 36 years old, 85 acres and an absolutely stunning looking place. It has never been drained or commercially fished as such.

 

There are 9 comfortable swims, most with their own private cabin that sleeps two, so a maximum 18 anglers – so you’ve got about 5 acres of water per swim! Price includes bed-chairs, bivvys (where needed) or use of cabin, unhooking mats, chairs, cookers, food, boats, engines and all facilities.

 

We have 6 electric engines there and 10 boats for our use. Showers and toilets are very clean and nearby to swims. We can provide pellets / particles / leads on-site and boilies if needed. The venue is very secure and safe, very rural and totally fenced. Cold beer, snacks, drinks available on-site and delivered to you as needed. Lake is very deep in areas, up to 33m with very clear water (like Cassien) as it is fed by three natural springs. So far the lake has only been fished on a very limited basis by us and a few Slovakians / Hungarians.

 

There are lots of snags, sunken forests, trees, channels and really ‘carpy’ looking overgrown areas. The snags are simple stuff to deal with, if you are prepared. We have an 'Essex Angling Leisure' employee there who meets all clients, he speaks English fluent and good Hungarian. A UK guide also accompanies the organised group trips.

 

Essex Angling Leisure have World-Wide booking rights to this venue. We can cater for parties from 2 to 18 anglers, there are several group trips going out in 2007 so if you fancy getting involved then give us a call so you don’t miss out.
