Essex Angling Leisure is very pleased to introduce a stunning new fishing resort in the beautiful coastal area of Krabi, southern Thailand.

 

Krabi has been developed by the Tourism authority of Thailand as a family destination. It is not, and will never be, allowed to be yet another sex tourist destination. Be assured that unlike other destinations in Thailand you will not be pestered and harassed in Krabi province as the local authorities have strict rules to keep this beautiful part of the country as a family destination.

 

The resort is built in a stunning national park area 3 km from Thalen Bay. It is surrounded by lime Scale Karsts, covered in protected tropical rain forest and is 5 km from a beautiful sea kayak centre, and 19 km from the lively seafront town of Ao-Nang. Ao-Nang boasts many top class restaurants, pubs and clubs plus unspoiled white sand beaches.

 

In the surrounding national park there are hot springs and waterfalls with stunning emerald pools to take a refreshing swim after your walk through unspoiled forests. Close by is some of the best elephant trekking in Southern Thailand.

 

Nearby there is horse riding under western management, golf courses, shopping for copy designer named goods and souvenirs, boat trips to surrounding deserted islands and wild water rafting. There is an endless list of activities and you could spend a vacation here doing different things every day, or you can just laze around catching some of the biggest freshwater fish in the world!

 

The 9-acre fishing lake was completed in March 2007 and is set in an additional 7 acres of tropical gardens. 

 

There is an on site restaurant built at the lakeside with stunning views over the lake including a pub style bar with satellite TV and pool tables. An English chef is used for a full western menu plus a Thai chef for a full authentic Thai menu.

 

Over looking the lake, for our guests private use, we have a large 7mtr x 15mtr infinity pool built to take in the amazing views. The pool is situated near the bungalows in the private gardens.

 

We have constructed to western standards 14 high quality two bedroom fully air conditioned bungalows within 12 meters of the lake. They are fitted with ceiling fans for those who do not like air-conditioning. All have hot showers, mini bar with fridge and personal safe. The bungalows have large covered shaded balcony's overlooking the lake and your own fishing area. You do not have to fish outside your bungalow, and if you wish to fish other areas of the lake there are plenty of fishing areas available. The bungalows are constructed on one side of the lake in tropical gardens. This side of the lake, as well as the top end, are private for the use of the guests in the bungalows only, keeping you in total privacy in a tropical paradise.

 

The venue is discreetly fenced all round with a paved walkway around the lake. Full time 24 hour security is provided to ensure total privacy and safety.

There will be one bank for limited day ticket fishing by appointment. Only if we have more than 10 guests fishing there will be no day tickets sold.

 

Also available at extra cost is a baby sitting service using local trusted experienced lady's from local families.

 

 

All anglers will be supplied with 2x rods, reels, alarms, all end tackle plus free bait and we use the following equipment:

 

Free spirit 10 foot 6 lb test curve cat tamer rods.

After being offered and testing various other companies rods, the Free spirit rods were by far the number one choice.

 

Shimano big pit long cast baitrunner reels.

Again we tried the rest and there was no contest. These reels are robust and have a superb drag system. The bait runners are, as expected from Shimano, the best.

 

All the reels are loaded with line from the Gold label range. As with all their products it cannot be faulted.

 

We use Nash outlaw and Fox alarms. Why? Because for their price and reliability, they are the best, most robust alarms on the market.

 

Fox swinger indicators. With their adjustable weights on the arms they cover all situations.

 

We use various end tackle and rig bits from all the above mentioned company's. This give you the opportunity to present baits on the most advanced and safe rigs in various forms on the market today.

 

When you hook a fish of a lifetime, these company's products will not let you, or us down!
